haha, second time in newcastle and boy was it a blast.
This time i went with my partner and it was even better than the first time i went. We all know
you do the same thing with different types of people the outcome will always be different but this weekend was GREAT. So we went in 2017 for my birthday and this time we took the coach.. We had to be at the station for 7.30 as our coach was at 8am so that meant being up at about 5.30, tooooo early! 8 hours it took, 8 WHOLE HOURS. Its not too bad when you play a few card games and take a few naps, but if youre anything like me and you get anxiety when you're excited, sleep is never an option.

National Express: 5/5. I absolutely adore National express, they're my prefered method of travel always as theyre so damn cheap. It costed us £40 for 2 people to go to newcastle and back, thats 10pp each way, its insane. The seats are very comfortable, leather, cushiony and can recline. You have air con above your head and a little light if youre a reader or travelling at night and obviously there's a toilet incase you need to go before the next stop. There's on board wifi and they even have their own app to watch free movies. Oh and lets not forget PLUG SOCKETSS! They suffise you with enough pit stops to stretch and its also quite nice to pass through cities you may have never been too. Although the journey was 8 hours long National express as a whole are absolutley amazing.
By about 4:30 we had finally reached and it was time to go and check in, (FYI this is my favourite part of going away, checking in and seeing the room for the very first time).

Sandman Signature Hotel: 5/5. This is probably one of my favourite hotels i've ever stayed in. Its located a less than10 minute walk from the bars and clubs and 5 minutes from the shopping centre. Upon arrival we were greeted with friendly smiles and were told our room had been upgraded. The check in process was fast and we were well informed with where to go and what to do. Our suite was immaculate with not a hair in sight and the bed was comfortable af. The following moring was our first breakfast and it was one of the nicest breakfasts id ever had. They ahd, pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomatos, toast, cereal, frest frui, fresh juice and more. The best part was their eggs were scrambled in a frying pan and not done in the microwave so they tasted divine. For the location, food and more this is definitely a top recommend for me.

Escape Rooms: 6/5. They are amazing, if you havent done them before its a must do thing. It literally tests every inch of your brain and its a fun activity also. As it's an escape room it automatically makes you feel like you have to dig deep into your thoughts when the answer could literally be right in front of you. You get an hour locked in a room and have to figure out all the clues to get yourself out it's brilliant. We beat the escape room and got out with about 10 seconds spare its a great laugh. RECOMMEND!
As we reached so late in the day our main things were to just grab some food and get ready for our first night out. we had reserved a table in Madame koo that came with prosecco a booth and more for just £100. So after getting ready we took a £5 Uber Lux down to the main strip #Arriveinstyle and then danced the night away.

Diamond Strip: 5/5. I dont know what more to say to you all about this diamond strip other than you're guaranteed to have the time of youre life. On a friday you get entry to 3 different clubs. So if you walk into 'House of smiths' and dont like the music, you can go right on through the door to floritas instead, and if you dont like that you can head downstairs to madame koos and guess what? ITS ONE ENTRY PRICE FEE! oh yes you read that correctly, you pay one fee for 3 night club entries! The music is very diverse, but all very urban, you could be listening to Katy perry in one club and Vybz kartel through the next door. The vibes in the clubs were amzing as all people were interacial, no colour is singled out.
Following day we woke up and decided to just explore the city and it was lovely, we took a stroll down the riverside and reached just in time to see the bridge move, we sat down had a drink and some icecream and somehow ended up at the newcastle castle.
Newcastle Castle: 2/5. It's just a castle, nothing special tbh nothing to go out of your way to scream about but it was kinda cute and has a nice litte view. It's located in the heart of newcastle and it's free to get into. Somewhere to go and pass time with little kids, but if your over 13, not in to history and 'normal' then its not for you.
After the castle it was straight back to the hotel to get ready. That evening it was time for my birthday meal, and that meant getting all dolled up. (FYI, if you wear a coat, are'nt in heels or looking glamorous they stare at you because 100000% past 7pm is the norm). My partner surprised me to an evening in Babuchos and it was amazing.

Babucho: 5/5. For anyone who knows me steak is my thing, If I could eat it everyday i really would. I would 100% go back there again. The setting inside the venue is absolutely lush with black tables and black crushed velvet seats. its got very dimmed lights so it creates an ambiance of comfortabilty and intimacy. It has a section where they can literally draw the curtain so you cant be seen by anyone which is a nice touch. The steak I had was Medium Rare and it was perfectly done, it wasnt too chewy and cut with ease, alongside the chips and bottle of prosecco it was a perfect evening. (2 steak and chips and a bottle of prosseco around £80-£90).
AfterBabuchos it was back to the hotel for another dress change, to then party the night away.. AGAIN. Only this night we took it to a different club.

Tup Tup Palace: Absolutely great on a saturday night, versatile music £10-£15 entry and very versatile people. DJ is open till 3am. beautiful inside space, has an upstairs area too, drinks arent too pricey, good night out.
Finally lets not forget the pizza place, it is honestly the most amazing thing newcastle has to offer its right next door to Tup Tup and serves pizza till the early hours of the morning and the pizza is DIVINE.
Newcastle as a whole is a complete recommend for me and i have nothing bad to ever say about it apart from the fact that is MILES AWAY and i wish it were closer. it's the best night out ive ever had and price wise is also the cheapest.. i mean ubers start from £3 up there! it's so easy to get around as everything with close proximity honestly newcastle cant go wrong.
If you've been share you're experiences i'd LOVE to hear, if you havent? book it now.
